Mr. Davis leads Acorn's operations and investor development activities. He directs the early stage initiatives of the Firm, oversees portfolio company activities and provides direction for the execution of Acorn's investment strategy.

Mr. Davis brings to Acorn more than twenty-five years of experience as a business executive. He assisted with the formation, fundraising and placement of Acorn's initial investment funds.

He served as the Chairman of the Oklahoma Venture Forum, the primary  association of private equity and venture investors in Oklahoma.  Mr. Davis is a founder and former member of the Executive Committee of the Oklahoma Aerospace Alliance. He served as the Chairman of the Public Policy Committee and worked hard to help make the landmark Oklahoma aerospace engineering recruitment legislation a reality. He has been appointed to serve on the Oklahoma Governor's Task Force on Aerospace to consider and recommend an economic development strategy for the State. Previously, he served on the Commander's Executive Advisory Committee for Tinker Air Force Base.

He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the Walton School of Business.  He is also a graduate of the Institute for Organization Management at Southern Methodist University, and he attended The Academy for Organization Management at the University of Notre Dame.

Mr. Nagel directs the latter-stage initiatives of Acorn Growth Companies, concentrating on the firm's acquisition, merger, and portfolio operating activities.  He serves in direct executive and oversight capacities for several firms held by Acorn, which include manufacturing, engineering services, applied sciences, maintenance, repair, and overhaul services, intelligence and surveillance operations, and specialty government leasing and financing.

Mr. Nagel holds a B.S. degree from the University of Oklahoma's College of Engineering in Environmental Science.  Before joining Acorn, he worked for Los Angeles, CA based Platinum Equity.

Mr. Nagel is a three-time "Metro 50" winner, awarded to the CEO's of the fastest growing companies in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.  He is a member of the International Who's Who of Professionals, the Downtown Oklahoma City Rotary Club, and the Air Force Association.    

Mr. Nagel has served on numerous local, state, and national boards and commissions.  He is a current member of the Oklahoma Aerospace Association,  and is heavily involved with Boys & Girls Clubs of America - locally and nationally.

Mr. Thomas has more than thirty years of experience in business, including banking, where he owned interests in four commercial banks, including, with one investor, a majority interest in one downtown Oklahoma City bank, where he served as CEO, Chairman of the Board, and member of Executive Committees.
Mr. Thomas excels at creatively engineering complex financial opportunities with an emphasis on enhancing shareholder's value and mitigating risks. He has started and/or acquired more than 18 companies and led them to successful growth and development.

He is an accomplished commercial and industrial real estate developer and is an expert in sector-specific real estate development. The Tinker Business and Industrial Park ("TBIP"), adjacent to Tinker Air Force Base, conceived and developed by Thomas, serves as a working model of cluster development within a given targeted industry.

Jeff Morton serves as Executive Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer of Acorn and its portfolio companies. Mr. Morton’s responsibilities include financial, tax, treasury, insurance and administrative support and oversight related to the identification, negotiation, due diligence, acquisition, operation and reporting of Acorn, its portfolio companies and the financial management of Acorn funds.

Mr. Morton has over 30 years of financial management experience, as a senior manager with international public accounting firms for close to ten years and as the chief financial officer of numerous public and private, small to medium size companies, in various industries including energy, multiple unit restaurant operations, publishing, government contracting and banking. He has also been an entrepreneur who developed a multi-unit restaurant company.

Prior to joining Acorn in 2005, Mr. Morton served as the chief financial and administrative officer from 1999 thru 2005 for a defense contractor that has been in the aerospace and defense sector since 1982.  Among other duties, he was responsible for the management of all Federal and State contract negotiations, including the necessary approvals and compliance with procurement regulations. Additionally, in 2005, he served as the corporate controller for a $3 billion publicly-held bank.

Mr. Morton has served on the Oklahoma Venture Forum Board since 2002 and during the 2006-2007 session he served as the OVF President.

Mr. Morton earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Baldwin-Wallace College and is a certified public accountant.

Darryl Wilkerson is president of AGC's Integrated Defense Group which includes AGC aerospace companies with synergies in maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO), new and used aircraft sales, proprietary FAA certified aftermarket products, system integrations with emphasis on intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), fixed base operations (FBO), and turn-key government special mission air operations. He serves concurrently as President and CEO of Commuter Air Technology, and Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Acorn where he served as an Advisory Board Member from 2001 - 2005. He joined AGC in 2006, with 28 years of defense industry experience, and has full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for the companies in his group.

Prior to his current position he served in advanced programs, program management, and business development roles at Teledyne Brown Engineering and L-3 Communications. He has extensive experience managing systems engineering and integration, modeling and simulation, LRIP manufacturing, contractor logistics, and field service operations in support of U.S. and foreign government and commercial customers.

Mr. Wilkerson began his aerospace career in 1978 with honorable service in the U.S. Air Force. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, and is a 2002 graduate of the University of Tennessee's Center for Executive Education.

He currently serves as a member of the National Defense Industrial Association, Air Force Association, USAF Logistics Officer Association, Army Aviation Association of America, Association of the US Army, National Contract Management Association, and the University of Oklahoma Chapter of the Gamma Beta Phi Society.

Mr. Hinaman joined Acorn in 2007 and is based in Washington, DC. Mr. Hinaman is a senior investment banker with over 25 years experience in global mergers and acquisitions and international capital markets. His primary industry focus is aerospace and defense and government IT, and he has been involved in over $10 billion of transactions over his banking career.

Prior to joining Acorn, Mr. Hinaman was a partner at WWC Capital with responsibility for the origination and execution of aerospace and defense M&A and capital raising transactions. Prior to WWC, he headed a strategic/financial advisory firm advising private equity, hedge funds and family offices on developing business platforms in the commercial aerospace segment where he provided merger and acquisition deal strategy, deal execution and capital structuring advice.
 
At Jefferies Quarterdeck, Mr. Hinaman was responsible for origination and execution of M&A mandates for aerospace and defense clients including major systems integrators, middle market companies and private equity investors. He also originated equity, convertible and high yield debt transactions for middle market companies, and developed and expanded the firm’s European platform including management responsibilities for the firm’s London office.
 
Mr. Hinaman worked for over 20 years in Europe for both Chase Manhattan and Chemical Bank, and was Managing Director for Global Mergers and Acquisitions for Chase based in London and Frankfurt. He advised a number of European aerospace and defense companies as well as developed Chase’s M&A presence in Germany. He was non-executive Chairman from 1996-2000 of Huntsworth PLC, a London Stock Exchange listed company, guiding the company’s expansion into Europe and was instrumental in the sale of the company in 2000.
 
Mr. Hinaman holds an AB degree in mathematics and economics from Lafayette College and is a graduate of the London Business School.

Mr. Barnett joined Acorn Growth Companies (AGC) in December 2008 and is based in Acorn's Salt Lake City, Utah Office.  AGC's Business Development organization serves its portfolio of aerospace and defense companies, by training and supporting their diverse business development, sales, and marketing requirements. 

Prior to joining Acorn Growth Companies, Mr. Barnett was Vice President of Shipley Associates' Business Development Consulting business.  He oversaw the business development campaigns of several tier, two, and three aerospace, defense, IT, and professional services firms.  He also worked extensively with small businesses, training and coaching them on how to initiate and capture DoD and OEM programs.

During the past ten years of his career, Mr. Barnett has held a number of business development, sales, management, and leadership positions.  He is a certified facilitator for FranklinCovey's Sales Performance Group and has served on several business and community boards.

Mr. Barnett has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Utah and an MBA from Oklahoma Christian University.

Mr. Ramsey joined Acorn as the company’s controller.  He was most recently a manager with Grant Thornton LLP, an international public accounting firm.  While at Grant Thornton, he managed numerous audits, both public and private, for small to medium size companies in a variety of industries.

Prior beginning his accounting career, Ramsey served four years in the United States Air Force stationed at Tinker Air Force Base before being honorably discharged.  He was a Computer Display Maintenance Technician on the E-3 AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System) platform.

Mr. Ramsey graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Oklahoma.  A certified public accountant, he is a member of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Hayden Tobey joined Acorn Growth Companies as Finance Manager to support the organization’s treasury and cash management requirements for Acorn and its portfolio companies, business insurance coordination, financial modeling and due diligence support.

Prior to joining Acorn, Ms. Tobey was the Finance Manager for Conservus International, a Dubai, UAE based portfolio company of private equity investors Intel Capital and Accelerator Technology Holdings.  She oversaw the implementation of financial strategies and ensured the compliance of established policies, regulations and procedures. 

Ms. Tobey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance, with a double minor in Accounting and Marketing, from Oklahoma State University.

Kendra Clements serves as the Director of Human Resources for AGC Aerospace & Defense supporting the portfolio of companies under the AGC Aerospace & Defense brand.  She joined the company in November 2011 and was recruited to lead the company’s Human Resources operations. 

Clements has over 18 years of experience in Human Resources and has had global responsibility for strategy and day-to-day operations in staffing, organizational effectiveness and development, compensation and benefits, regulatory compliance, internal communications, employee metrics, and management reporting.

Clements has served in a leadership role for such companies as DIRECTV, NTT/Verio, Inc., and AIMCO. Clements has a proven track record of innovative human resources leadership and success in achieving exceptional business results. She attended Oklahoma City University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with a minor in Pre-Law. Clements was an active Phi Alpha Delta member.
