Mr. Nagel is a managing partner and owner of Oklahoma City based Acorn Growth Companies, an Aerospace & Defense private equity investment and buyout group. He directs the latter-stage initiatives of Acorn, concentrating on the firm’s acquisition, merger, and portfolio operating activities. His day to day responsibilities include oversight of businesses focused on aircraft modification and overhaul, intelligence surveillance & reconnaissance services, manufacturing, engineering services, applied sciences, and aircraft leasing.
Mr. Nagel holds a B.S. degree from the University of Oklahoma's College of Engineering in Environmental Science.
Mr. Nagel is a seven-time "Metro 50" winner with four different companies, two of which are currently operated by Acorn. He is also a recipient of the Journal Records’ Achiever’s Under 40 Award.
Mr. Nagel has served on numerous local, state, and national boards. He is a member of the Board of Governors for the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce, the Oklahoma Aerospace Association, the US Air Force Association, OKC Rotary, and Young Presidents Organization (YPO). He is currently on the board and has served as president of the Oklahoma County Boys and Girls Clubs, is the acting President of the Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs for the State of Oklahoma, and currently serves on the National Government Relations Committee for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Additionally, Nagel serves as campaign treasurer for Congressman Tom Cole (R-OK).
He, his wife, Kandi, and three children reside in Norman, Oklahoma.
