Aerospace Veteran Joins Acorn Growth Companies’ Advisory Board

Acorn Growth Companies announced today that Lee Beaumont has joined the firm’s advisory board. He recently served as President of Standard Aero - U.S., the world leader in engine maintenance, repair and overhaul and today serves as an aerospace consultant and acquisition advisor.

Beaumont was appointed to the position of President, Standard Aero U.S. in 2001. Standard Aero, owned by the Carlyle Group, is the world’s largest small to intermediate gas turbine engine, and accessory repair and overhaul facility.

More recently Beaumont has served as an independent aerospace consultant and acquisition advisor to the Carlyle Group.

Lee joined Standard Aero Limited in 1987. In 1988, he was promoted to Director of Finance, and in 1992 to Director of the T56/501 Product Unit. In 1995, he became Executive Vice-President. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds both Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) and Science degrees. In 1997, he completed the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford University.

Lee was instrumental in strengthening Standard Aero’s position and presence in the US marketplace. His leadership, while at Standard Aero, was instrumental in advancing Tinker AFB’s current transformation initiative.
